Hello and Welcome!
Feeling anxious? Depressed? Overwhelmed? Navigating grief and loss?
Do people tell you you're making mountains out of molehills?
I can help!
My name is Angie Munsey.
I have a BA in Communications, a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling,
and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate.
I love people, and I enjoy helping them see the world—and themselves—in a better
light. My realization that learning new skills can mean the difference between
surviving and thriving is what drew me to this profession.
I’ve been where many of you are—and quite literally, lived to tell.
Having strategies to handle life’s ups and downs is incredibly empowering.
Growing up, family can only teach us so much. From that foundation,
we sometimes learn to respond to life in ways that no longer serve us.
Recognizing and then reframing or replacing those patterns is a powerful skill
we can all learn—regardless of sex, gender, orientation, ethnicity, religion,
or background.
I’m here to help you identify the patterns that hold you back and replace them
with tools that move you forward. Imagine relationships without resentment
or fear. Cognitive distortions—those automatic thoughts that keep us stuck—
can manifest as perfectionism, over-accommodating, over-controlling,
negative self-talk, and more.
These mental blocks often leave us frustrated, anxious, worried, and resentful.
I can help you challenge and overcome them to create real change.
Learning how to balance boundaries and flexibility gives us the ability to tackle,
accept, and sometimes simply observe life’s ups and downs. Over time, this builds
tolerance for discomfort—and that’s a game-changer.
We learn how to respond, not react. Whether you’re ready to change your life’s
direction, pick up where you left off, maintain progress, or simply need someone
to listen—I can help. I compassionately tailor my approach to fit your needs by
integrating Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to
help guide you toward your personal goals.
Imagine your future self looking back with contentment and gratitude on
the moment you chose to start counseling. There’s “one day”—and there’s day one.
Remember: small steps lead to small changes—and small changes lead to
significant results.
You deserve confidence, empowerment, and happiness.
Asking for help is hard—but it is brave.

I am happy to see you in-person or virtually.
