Hello and Welcome!

My name is Dalila Garcia, and I am graduate counseling student at Midwestern State University. My previous education includes a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Stephen F. Austin University and a graduate certificate in Conflict Management and Resolution from Abilene Christian University.

I am deeply passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of individuals who are facing challenges with depression, anxiety, and binge eating disorder. I am a Spanish/English speaker who works with people of all ages.

My approach to counseling is grounded in person-centered and reality therapy, guided by a strong belief in the power of empathy, self-awareness, and personal growth. I have training and experience in Conflict Management and Resolution from Abilene Christian University and have worked with those also struggling with domestic violence and addiction.

I enjoy working with a variety of different people, from college students adjusting to university life to children and adults. My goal is to help create a safe and positive environment where the client can openly share while working collaboratively with each of them to help them define their personal goals. During my free time, I enjoy going to concerts, traveling, and hiking.

I'm very pleased to serve the Hispanic community and am here to offer a helping hand and am committed to tailoring our counseling sessions to meet your specific goals and needs.
