Anxiety, Trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, Dissociation
Whether you have experienced a single-incident trauma or whether you have suffered for years with multiple traumatic experiences, the symptoms that result can make you feel as if there is something inherently wrong with you. The symptoms that we experience due to traumatic events can often be our brain attempting to keep us safe and to heal. When you have the appropriate tools, you can step out of the way and allow your brain to fully heal and feel safe once again...or perhaps for the first time.
Burnout
Work-related stress is often seen as being at fault for burnout. Additionally, burnout can happen when taking care of a loved one who is ill over a long period of time. However, depending upon the history of the individual, burnout may or may not be the only issue. Toxic work environments can have a triggering effect if someone lived in a toxic situation in childhood. It can also be difficult to take care of a loved one who did not give you what you needed. You may find that you feel a lot of guilt and shame about it, but it can feel almost impossible to give to someone who has not adequately filled your bucket over the years. In both of these situations, addressing core issues can help. In the midst of these difficult situations, you can find help, hope and healing.
